One-Act Showcase

Welcome to the submission form for the second annual VPH One-Act Showcase!

Location: The Village Players of Hatboro, 401 Jefferson Ave, Hatboro, PA 19040

Performance: June 28, 2025 7:00pm

Six scripts will be chosen to be performed in a readers’ theater format on the VPH stage at 7:00 p.m. on June 28 and will be followed by a Q&A. Chosen playwrights are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the Q&A.

Casting will be up to the discretion of the one-act committee. Playwrights will be informed when rehearsals will take place and are not required to attend rehearsals but may choose to be there to provide additional context or guidance.

  • Plays should be submitted using the form below by April 11, 2025.

  • Playwrights may submit no more than two scripts.

  • Entries must be one act and have a running time of 10 to 15 minutes with one to six characters. Please thoroughly proofread and

    time your script.

  • Scripts should follow standard play formatting. At the least: Word doc with 1-inch margins, 12-point font, character names capitalized, stage directions in italics, and page numbers included.

  • Scripts should include a character breakdown.

  • Do not include your name, address, etc., in the file—only the title.
