Host a Benefit Performance

A benefit show is for organizations or charities to raise money by selling tickets to a special showing of one of our productions on a night reserved exclusively for the organization.

We feel we can help you earn money for your organization or charity with a minimum amount of work on your part. We supply the programs and tickets (refreshments are optional - you may bring your own or we can supply refreshments during intermission). All you have to do is sell tickets!

Pricing Options

Benefit Performance: $600

  • A non-refundable security deposit of $50 is required to hold a desired performance date and is due at booking. No date will be considered held until the deposit is received.

  • A refundable cleaning deposit of $100 is due at booking and is returned after two weeks if there is no damage, excessive cleaning or loss to the premises, and if all venue rules have been followed. The benefit holder is financially responsible for damages that exceed the security deposit.

  • The remaining balance of $550 for the benefit performance is due prior to the start of the scheduled event. A performance will not begin until the remaining balance is received.

Program Inserts Option: $100

  • We can print and include program inserts on the night of your performance that let your patrons know that proceeds from the performance are being donated to your organization!

Terms and Conditions

IMPORTANT: Benefit inquiries must be received prior to our audition process to ensure adequate planning for our cast and crew members. Dates are provided by the Business Manager. Only 2 benefits will be booked per show.

The Village Players of Hatboro (VPH) Will Provide:

  • One (1) VPH volunteer

  • Hot coffee (regular and decaf), hot tea, and fixings at show intermission

  • One (1) six-foot table in the lobby

  • 250 tickets printed with the name of your organization

    • NOTE: Tickets may not be priced at less than the current single admission for a regular performance given by The Village Players of Hatboro.

Food and Drink

Benefit holders are encouraged to bring food and drink. However, if alcohol is being served, The Village Players of Hatboro requires that clients, at their own expense, maintain and provide proof of comprehensive general liability insurance, which names The Village Players of Hatboro additionally insured. Evidence of insurance must be received by VPH at least 30 days prior to the rental event.

Alternatively, benefit holders may provide a written agreement that alcohol will be provided free to guests and that the benefit organization is responsible for any losses or damages in case of claims arising from any alcohol-related incidents that might occur at the benefit performance. The benefit organization is also responsible for ensuring that no minors are served alcohol. 

All food and drink must be removed from the premises within 30 minutes of the benefit performance ending without exception.

Decorating and Cleaning

If other décor is desired, time to set up or decorate will be granted as time allows and cannot interfere with theater showtimes, rehearsals, or other scheduled events. Please consult with the Business Manager prior to the day of your event to arrange time for decorating. Nothing may be taped, tacked, or otherwise attached to theatre walls.

Maximum Occupancy

The Village Players of Hatboro auditorium can seat 152 in the theatre.
