Nick Finland, Big City Detective (Radio Play)
In March of 2020, The Village Players of Hatboro shut its doors for the first time in the seventy years it has been active. For the next year and a half, the volunteers at VPH brainstormed ways to continue giving themselves, other local actors, and the arts-loving community a way to carry on throughout the pandemic - finally settling on the creation of a radio play, Nick Finland, Big City Detective by local writer, actor, and director Steven J. Niles. Nick Finland, performed in the style of 1940s adventure serials, was recorded with a full cast on the Village Players stage over the course of several months before premiering in November of 2021 on VPH’s YouTube page.
